Even though his father died and he got lost in the forest, he still tried to find his way home and he did not give up.

I think that Arlo is an Caring, Open-Minded, and a Communicator. Caring because at first he was not friends with Spot but then he started caring about Spot because he helped Arlo find his way home. Open-Minded because he does not care just about him, he takes care of other people and he respects their ideas. Communicator because he does not complain, if he is tired he says it and he talks to people if he has problems.
